Why Atmabodha is Important in Life?

Atma bodha “Self-realization” is meant to attain the ultimate truth i.e. to know the self or atman. Only self-realization can destroy the ignorance and makes you free from all kind of bondage.

Atmabodha is not just to realize the self but also a manifestation of the self. The importance of self-realization in life to attain the pure consciousness and the mindfulness which destroys ignorance and sufferings in life. Having Atmabodha removes all kinds of ignorance, and different kinds of fears of life tha we have created. It gives you a positive outlook about yourself cause as after self-realization you gain utmost clarity of life.

Process of Self Realization

In the process to become self-realized, meditation & Yoga plays an important role. By practicing the meditation & dhyana yoga you will start feeling aware & mindful. As this deep awareness of the self “the atman” derives its experience in the relative world through three state of consciousness first is waking state it experience the gross objects of outside world, the second stage is dream state it experience the subtle impression, purely mental in nature and created by the experience of the waking state ; and in third state deep sleep enjoy, peace and remain witness of the absence of the activities of mind & senses. But there is a fourth state of consciousness which is called Turiya which is in reality not a state, it is about realizing atman as a pure consciousness. Turiya pervades all the three state.

Self-Knowledge alone is the direct cause of liberation.

Om, I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego,
nor the reflections of inner self (chitta).
I am not the five senses.
I am beyond that.
I am not the ether, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the wind (the five elements).
I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
